Tips for buying Mb Star C3 software 

The new east MB star C3 software version is the 2011.11. When you purchase the Mb Star C3

 software the most important thing is to let the seller know which models computer you use with the C3. Because the software are send to you via the Hard disk. Here i introduce you the common hard disk interface:

1) IDE interface: The latest newly version of the Mb Star C3 support the IDE interface. It suitable for those computer which contain the IDE interface.

2)  SATA interface: Nowadays most computer are using the SATA interface some are use the eSATA. The new version MB star C3 will all has support SATA interface computer.

In conclusion: Your hard disk interface  will only be IDE interface or SATA or both.  And if your computer is T30 or d630 we have specialize hard disk. For other computers we also has corresponding hard disk to storage the MB star  C3 software you need.

Special MB Star C3 works only on IBM T30

Yesterday, I browsed the forum of benzworld.org, and there had a MB Star C3 user that has some problem on this Mb Star C3. The post as the following:

I have bought the Star diagnosis unit from china/hong kong for 550USD. My findings of the unit however are terrible. I ordered it without the laptop as I already have the correct notebook. The unit I received looked very professional as you can see in the pictures! It even looks like an original Actia unit, but it isnt!I could not get this cheap chinese knock off to work. I wasted more than a full weekend on this without any comms going to my car.

The preinstalled hard drive I received was also full of virusses. I had to remove these and repair windows to get it going. There was no keygen for the WIS and DAS software. After many hours of searching I eventually found a keygen on some dodge russian site… which worked! After that I could get the WIS and DAS started but I could not get the star unit to communicate with my com port 2. Again after many hours spent, my computers com port 2 tested fine, I’ve tested it with other hardware using com 2 which works like a charm. I’ve even triend an external USB-2-serial converter. Without any luck. If you plug the star unit into you car the Green LED lights up on the star, so that works. When I try the compact port tester it gives random errors. (its only when you plug out the unit from your com port that you dont get random errors but just the same error)

Actually, the problem is very easy to solved, because this Mb Star C3 have two kinds of versions, one is Mb Star C3 Pro with seven cables fit all computer for Benz truck and car, another is Mb Star C3 Pro Mercedes Benz Star Pro with seven cables fit IBM T30. Although they are very similar, there have an obvious different place that the second version works only on IBM T30 model.

The chinese programm is based on the IBM T30 and without this it will not function properly. So this is where the user’s problem comes in.

Conclusion: The second version of Mb Star C3

 requires the IBM hard drive and the IBM T30 computer to operate the software correctly with the multiplexer on line. So the customers should decide which version that you want to get before purchase, which can avoid to waste a log of time and effort for nothing.

MB star c3 Xentry installation guide

If you install Mb Star C3 Xentry with a normail Xentry key(not a developer) everything should install fine. However sometime is doesn’t (in my case), as the following:
VMware Player unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0)
Exception 0xc0000006 (disk error while paging) has occurred.
A log file is available in “D:\Xentry2013\vmware.log”.  Please request support and include the contents of the log file.
To collect data to submit to VMware support, run “vm-support”.
We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement.

What should you do?

When Xentry setup copies the files to:
F:\programma\xentry directory, you should open the directory F:\programme\xentry\bin.
There are 4 files: userconfig.xml, userconfig.xml.ja, userconfig.xml.ko and userconfig.xml.zh.
Just rename them during the  copying of the files and the installation will continue fine.

Step 1: Copy DLL: C:\windows\zak\starutils\commonlic.dll(the dll is in the starutils folder).
Step 2: Mb Star C3 and the Xentry keygen, genarate then save the key.
Step 3: Go to DAS DVD: stardiag\InDia_Frame and run setup.exe (for Das 2010, the folder name is: Xentry_frame.
Step 4: Click setup then installation completed.
Step 5:
Replace 3 files/xentry06-new version/
F:\Programme\bin\india\com.dcx.licencesupport.jar and F:\Programme\Xentry\bin\dlls\CommoLic.dll and C:\windows\zak\starutils\commonlic.dll

Restart
And here it’s done.

Installation Notes:
1. Be sure to disable/uninstall anti-virus software
Please note,anti-virus software can flag up SUPER MB STAR software as having a virus. This is a false positive and is due to the software containing the application file. So Before setup the device software, please disable/uninstall anti-virus software or install a more reliable free virus scanner! Our Mb Star C3

 software is completely safe and virus free and all other virus scanners confirm this.

If the software data is destroyed or lost because you forget to disable/uninstall anti-virus software, please contact our customer service, we arrange to resend you CD or send you the software via internet.

2. Required windows operation system is windows XP
Be sure to setup and run the device software under windows XP. Otherwise the device software and program can be broken or it will fail to work.
