simple guideline on how to upgrade the tool online.
Step 1:
Get your digimaster3 ,
and then power up the device and plug the network cable into the LAN interface
on the device. Your mileage correction tool will start up a few seconds after
it is powered up.
Step 2: Go to the homepage and select
“Management” in the middle of the interface. Then you will enter a page showing
Update, Key Register, Key list, digimaster3

How to do when the Digimaster 3 suddenly black / white screen?
update the
EBoot
update the kernel of the digimaster3 was supported recently( one key through updating kernel
by SD card). Press the number 8 and press the OK at same time, and comfirm it
by ” Press O?“ When the “continue update Firmware” appears, it indicated your
device EBOOT program is the old version. So first you should update the EBOOT
program and update the Digimaster 3 kernel.
Before you update EBOOT, you should install
the EBTOOL first.
1. Press the number 8 and
OK simultaneously, Press the OK when the ” Press OK to confirm and
continue update Firmware”, the updating is beginning.
2. Connect the EBTOOL to the computer via
the USB port, then will pop-up the ” Found New Hardware wizard”
3.Click the “Install the software
automatically”.
4. If you had installed the digimaster3 before, choose the second ” SEC???SMDK board” in dialog
box shown below, click next.
6. Check the the mini USB is connecting the
computer, then the Screen will show the

“EBOOT_20110427.bin” then click “OK” to start EBOOT program update.
7. 10 sec later the DiGIMASTER 3 screen
shows a twinkling red “YH” logo and the update is complete.
So now the EBoot is successfully update,
turn the power off and update the kernel in an appropriate way.
